What is in the program

The day opens at Wat Suwan Khuha, a cave temple where you can feed and photograph the monkeys and see stalactites, bats and a reclining Buddha. Then the fun begins: a ride through the jungle on 250cc ATVs, followed by a safety briefing and a 5 km rafting run down a jungle river in inflatable rafts led by experienced instructors. The run takes place once the dam upstream has been opened, making it fun and safe with a touch of thrill.

After lunch you choose on the spot between an elephant ride through the jungle or bathing a baby elephant. The adrenaline part ends with a zipline flight, and the last stop is one of the waterfalls of Phang Nga province before the drive back.

Why this rafting tour stands out

The group travels together with its Russian-speaking guide in the same minivan, so help and explanations are always close by. The ATVs are powerful 250cc machines rather than small starter quads, and the group is made up entirely of Russian-speaking travelers, which keeps briefings and the pace of the day simple.

Getting there from Khao Lak

The tour starts from Khok Kloi Bus Station. You can get there by yourself or book a transfer from any hotel in Khao Lak or Natai Beach; it costs a single amount for the whole booking rather than per person. The return to your hotel is in the early evening.

Who it suits and practical tips
