What the Phi Phi tour from Khao Lak covers
Every version of this Phi Phi tour visits the same core sights. Maya Bay is the cove made famous by The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio. Pileh Lagoon is a pool of calm green water enclosed by limestone walls, perfect for a swim. You also pass Viking Cave and Monkey Beach, snorkel off Phi Phi Don and have lunch on the island itself.
How to choose between the four options
Phi Phi + Khai is the earliest start, with pickup from Khao Lak hotels before dawn, a light breakfast at the pier and an afternoon on the sandy Khai islands. Phi Phi + Bamboo by catamaran includes breakfast, a landing at Maya Bay for photos, lunch at a beachfront restaurant, canoes on board and free time on Bamboo Island.
The two water-slide catamarans let you sleep in a little longer and come with a clear kayak, a SUP board and a slide straight into the sea. Phi Phi + Khai with slide saves Maya Bay for the afternoon and ends on Khai Island. Phi Phi + Mai Ton + sunset finishes with snorkeling over the coral reef at Mai Ton and watching the sun go down from the deck.
Guide languages
An English-speaking guide works on every departure. A Russian-speaking guide joins on set days that differ by option: Tuesday and Thursday for Phi Phi + Khai, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for the Bamboo catamaran, Monday and Friday for the Khai slide catamaran, Wednesday and Saturday for the sunset trip.
Practical tips
From 1 August to 30 September Maya Bay is closed for landing and is seen from the boat only. Timings and the order of stops are a guide and may be changed by the captain. If you are pregnant, tell us when booking, otherwise you may not be allowed to board. Fins are available for rent, and on the Khai classic the longtail ride in Pileh Lagoon is paid separately. Can we land at Maya Bay?+
Yes, outside the closure period. From 1 August to 30 September landing is not allowed and the bay is viewed from the boat.
Is there a Russian-speaking guide every day?+
No. An English-speaking guide works daily, while a Russian-speaking guide joins only on specific weekdays, which differ for each of the four options.
Is lunch included?+
Lunch on Phi Phi Don is included in every option, together with unlimited water and soft drinks. Breakfast is served only on the Khai classic and the Bamboo catamaran.
