What you will see on the Avatar tour

The day starts with a pickup truck ride up to the viewpoint, where limestone islands rise out of Phang Nga Bay in a scene often compared to Ha Long Bay or the floating mountains of Pandora. Next come the monkey cave, where feeding the wild monkeys is optional, and Wat Suwan Khuha with its stalactite cave and bats. The group then visits one of two temples: the Black Monk temple or the Heaven and Hell temple.

Around midday you reach a sea gypsy village and glide through the mangroves on a traditional longtail boat. Lunch is served right in the village and focuses on seafood: crab, shrimp, fish, squid and tom yum. In the afternoon you meet elephants for a ride, bathing and a baby elephant show, and stop at a waterfall on the way back.

Samet Nangshe or Beyond Skywalk

The two options share the same route and differ only in the morning viewpoint. Amazing Phang Nga goes to the classic Samet Nangshe viewpoint, with the entry ticket included. Avatar + Beyond Skywalk takes you instead to the glass Beyond Skywalk platform above the bay, also with the ticket included. If a glass walkway sounds exciting, pick the Skywalk; if you just want the famous panorama, Samet Nangshe is enough.

Getting there from Khao Lak

The tour starts and ends at Khok Kloi Bus Station, where the Russian-speaking guide meets everyone. You can travel there yourself or add a transfer from any Khao Lak or Natai Beach hotel; it is charged once for the whole booking, not per person.

Good to know

The tour is marked as suitable during pregnancy, although elephant riding is not recommended for expectant mothers. The reclining Buddha temple entrance is paid on site. Timings and the order of stops are approximate. For bookings, message the GoGo Phuket manager in chat or WhatsApp.
