What happens at Nemo Dolphinarium
The main event is a dolphin show of about 40 minutes, with fur seals joining the dolphins on stage. Trainers run the animals through jumps, tricks and playful routines while the audience watches from tiered rows. There are three shows a day, at 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00, so it is easy to fit around a beach morning or an evening out.
Swimming with dolphins
After each show a small group gets into the pool: no more than five people at a time, in two rounds of five. You change, shower and get a short briefing, then spend up to 10 minutes in the water. Expect to meet the dolphin on the platform, hug it, hold its dorsal or pectoral fins as it pulls you around the pool, rub its belly, play ball, hear it sing, dance a waltz, get a kiss and finally feed it a fish. Photos are taken on your own camera. The whole session, briefing included, takes around 30 minutes. The pool is about 26 °C and 5 metres deep, and towels and life jackets are provided.
Show or swim: which ticket to pick
The Regular Row show ticket gives you seats in rows E, F or G and is the simple choice for families. Rows closer to the stage (Deluxe C/D, VIP B and VVIP A) cost extra. The swim session is best booked in advance because places per session are very limited; you can take it together with the show or on its own. Keep in mind that the program can change depending on the dolphins' mood on the day.
Kids and practical tips
Children can swim with dolphins from age 4 with an adult (a ticket for two is bought) and on their own from age 6. For the show, the child ticket applies to kids under 11 and under 130 cm, while children under 4 and under 90 cm who sit on a parent's lap go free. Transfer is not included and depends on where your hotel is — our manager will quote it when you book via chat or WhatsApp. Bring a swimsuit if you plan to swim.
