What the ride is like

The routes run on purpose-built off-road tracks through the jungle, ranging from easy sections to faster, more technical stretches. Expect dirt roads, climbs and descents — and expect to get a bit dirty, because rides go ahead in any weather. An English-speaking instructor accompanies the group, and the hotel transfer both ways is included.

North or south, ATV or buggy

There are two riding areas. In the north of the island you ride 200cc ATVs for 30 or 60 minutes. The southern park has a wider choice: 200cc ATVs for 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, plus 650cc buggies for 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

An ATV is the classic choice if you want to feel the bike move under you and steer it yourself. A 650cc buggy has a much bigger engine and suits those who want more power. For a first try, 30 minutes is plenty; if you enjoy it, the longer rides let you get further into the jungle. Tell our manager which area and duration you prefer when you book.

Who can ride

Drivers must be at least 16 years old. Passengers can ride along, two to a vehicle, at a lower passenger rate. The activity is not allowed during pregnancy.

Practical tips

Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting muddy, and bring sunglasses or a change of clothes for the ride back. Photos and videos are not included, nor are drinks and tips. Because pickups run almost every hour depending on where your hotel is, you can agree on the most convenient time and even book on the day. Timing and order may be adjusted by the guide.
